Colleen and Jeffrey’s surrogacy fundraiser

If you know Colleen and Jeffrey you know their infertility journey has been anything but easy. Despite the heartache and endless obstacles they have already faced, they have not and will not give up! These love birds married in 2018 and began their journey to build a family in 2019. In 2020, a year no one could ever forget, Colleen surprised Jeffrey with a baby sized fishing pole as a way to tell him they were finally pregnant! The two thought their dream of starting a family was coming true. Little did they know their worlds were about to be turned upside down. In the midst of fighting a global pandemic, Colleen, an emergency room PA, suffered not 1 but 2 miscarriages between 2020-2021, both of which required surgical D&Cs. With every surgery comes risks and further complications. Unfortunately Colleen developed Asherman’s Syndrome which has left irreparable damage to her uterus. After learning of this condition, they decided to begin their journey with in vitro fertilization. In 2022, Colleen underwent 4 corrective surgeries for her Asherman’s, and has since undergone 2 egg retrievals, one requiring hospitalization, and both ending with unsuccessful transfers. Still no viable pregnancy. They have been left empty handed and heartbroken. And to add even more to the tragedy of infertility, insurance companies rarely cover this form of healthcare, leaving couples with thousands of dollars in debt and still no real solution to becoming parents.

Colleen and Jeffrey have made the decision to pursue parenthood through surrogacy. They have recently been bestowed a truly AMAZING BLESSING. They have been blessed with a beautiful and selfless friend who wants to give them the greatest gift of all. After almost 4 years of fertility treatments, they are exhausted emotionally, physically, and understandably financially. But the hope of becoming parents is greater than it’s ever been! Colleen and Jeffrey have a TRIBE of people who love them like crazy and like many, would love to help see their next adventure finally work! These are two of the most deserving people who will without a doubt be amazing parents, especially judging by their love for their four-legged babies!
