<div>Astrology, as a body of knowledge, is losing its source material to the passing of time . . . again.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Astrologers have spent the past half century rediscovering treasure troves of astrological material, often never translated from ancient languages, lost in the basements of old libraries, hidden in private collections, and even buried in the ground.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>At the same time, thousands of books, articles, and magazines, written by modern era astrology authors are vanishing.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The problem:
</div>
<div>Material is dispersed around the world, often stored in private collections, vulnerable to the passing of its authors, the whims of publishers and overburdened libraries, and the fragility of the organic material on which it is printed.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The solution:
</div>
<div>Gather it all up, catalogue it, reference it, identify its location, and make it accessible to anyone who is interested in studying the contributions of astrological thinkers from early traditions to modern times.
</div>

<div>This is the <a href="https://alexandriaibase.org" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Alexandria iBase Project's</a>  (AIP) mission.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>From a start-up effort in 2015, AIP has matured as a 501c3 educational non-profit with a paid and volunteer staff of librarians and project coordinators. AIP currently has a library catalogue with over twelve thousand records of print and digital items from a variety of sources: books, magazines and articles, academic papers, and lectures, with a growing backlog of thousands more (including video). It also now has a growing special collections database of digitized materials available for download.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>All of this is available to use for research and study by everyone at no cost.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>AIP depends on donations to continue operations and special project development. AIP's annual operations budget $75,000. Your donation will keep AIP moving forward on our mission to locate and preserve the work of astrological thinkers for current and future generations.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>AIP is grateful for donations of all sizes, big and small, both cash and in-kind. Consider AIP in your estate planning.
