"A new Hope" Starting from zero at 41

Hello my name is Colin and this is my dog Buddha Bear.



Buddha and I are hoping to start an entirely new life together after years of struggling to keep my home and my 22 year relationship afloat. Even though we've lost so much, we're still determined to keep going, but need some help to get started.
My final destination is my original home and birth state of Colorado, where I have friends and work waiting for me. All that is missing is a place to live and the means to make the move.

We have been blessed and cursed in our venture so far.
After so far raising 3000.00 here on GoFundMe in an effort to fix up my car and get on the road, I repaired said car, paid for my phone, internet connection and food for 2 months! For that alone I am ETERNALLY GRATEFUL!!!

Unfortunately the money is now thin and I still have the trip to make.

FORTUNATELY I found one HELL of a travel trailer for $2,500 that my folks helped me to purchase since my funds were too low to do it all.
This trailer is AMAZINGLY perfect as was brought our way through the unfortunate hardship of another friend, who had to sell it quick to help her own family out.
As you can see, it is all we could ever ask for and all we will need for the foreseeable future! (and Buddha loves it too)













So the car will need to be sold to afford the camper and a vehicle to tow it.


However...
UNFORTUNATELY my family and I thought once again we found the PERFECT truck for the job and for cheap money.
Bought it for $2800, found out its worth $1200 and needs $4000 JUST to make it safe!
The person who sold it has NOT returned phone calls e-mails or any attempt at contact, so we are pursuing legal means to get their money back.
It is a vicious blow to my efforts, faith, and trust... and a horrible miscarriage of my parents help and generosity.


So the long and short of it all:
Right now I am 5300 in the hole with my parents (god bless um!)

Have land to settle on (in Colorado)
Got a home (need to pay back folks 2500)
Got a USLESS truck (need to pay back folks 2800)
Need an inspectable Truck (Will sell Subaru or trade)
Or Need to RENT a tow vehicle (Will have to sell Subaru or trade)
And of course need gas money.

The rest I am maintaining and working for as hard as I can.
The scam/truck has thrown a HUGE monkey wrench in the works as I was even designing a tool-cap/mobile-workshop for the trip and my new jobs out west. Even submitted the invention for consideration by Ryobi themselves.








All in all its been a roller-coaster... AGAIN.
But now we just want to lick our wounds and move on.

All I can ask, is that the word is spread of my attempt at this new life. However ANYTHING you can do from spreading the link, to donating materials, time and or money, would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

Money comes and goes, but time is a currency we can only SPEND and never earn. I am out of both, but with a little help, I will have the means to not only make a better living... but better times!

If you want to know what got me to this point, my story is below.
All sob stories suck but here it goes...
I am a 41 year old struggling artist and have been all my life. For 22 years I was with a loving supportive mate that put up with my "creative disease" for many years. However, recent help and belief from others finally put my work on the map last year.
Unfortunately just as things were heating up we ran out of capital.
So I lost my business/job just BEFORE Christmas.
Just AFTER Christmas we were notified that our 9 month long fight with CitiMortgage to save our house from foreclosure (a house we helped build and love for 11 years and never missed a payment until last year) was going to end by auctioning off our home WITH US STILL IN IT. We were given just 3 weeks notice to move out and move on.
The day after we were given this notice, the love of my life for 22 years left me and Buddha alone to liquidate a house full of our memories, and art collections of both mine and my families creations.
To top it all off I had to file bankruptcy JUST to stop the foreclosure long enough to empty this monstrosity. That being said, credit and loans are no longer a financing option, which is why I'm asking friends, family, and strangers for any amount of support they can give. I promise it will be put to good use, keeping me and my dog housed and fed, on our way to new work, new life, new beginnings.
