Coletta Wabushi

Over the past year our family has had the great privilege of getting to know and love Joseph and Coletta Wabushi, a Kenyan couple from our church and school community. In this short time they have taught us many things but above all radical gratitude and unwavering faith in the face of immense difficulties. For the past 10 months Coletta has been battling metastatic colorectal cancer. Despite great efforts through chemotherapy and radiation, our dear friend Colleta Wabushi passed away in the arms of her husband (Joseph) of 53 years on Sunday November 19, 2023 at 1:15am.

Her family is now challenged with getting their wife and mother home to Kenya so she can receive a proper Catholic funeral and burial on the family's generational land. It is our sincere request that our families and friends help us raise funds so they can make this final journey for Colleta.
