Cole Alexander Fox was born on July 27th, 1994.  Cole was such a happy, funny kid.  He was kind and did well in school and everybody who met him liked him.  He loved to skateboard, was an awesomely talented artist and drummer.   He could have done anything he put his mind to.  He worked hard in his skilled trade, his employers valued him.
In high scchool, he had surgery and was prescribed hydrocodone afterwards.  At that time we had NO idea how addictive opiates were.  He told a friend how great he felt and they told him he could buy them at school.  Not from kids getting them out of their grandparent's medicine cabinets, but from dealers who had gallon size ziplock bags full.   By the time we realized Cole was buying pills, he was addicted and had moved on to using heroin.  Fast forward 6 years and several stays in rehab as well as counseling and treatment through our family Dr.  He had just agreed to give rehab one more try because he had landed a great full time job on a traveling crew.  We think he wanted one more hurrah before going in, it was his last.  We suspect toxicology will show it was laced with fentanyl.  He died from an accidental overdose on March 9th, 2018.  We found him that morning when we didn't hear him leave for work.  We are devastated.  Cole was such a kind, funny, hardworking man and we loved him beyond reason.  Nothing will ever be the same now that he has left this earth.  We want to help others who can't afford rehab and overcome the stigma and shame attached to addiction.
