Restore the 'Cold War Horse'

An important and controversial memorial for Rocky Flats Nuclear Weapons Plant titled 'Cold War Horse' has been vandalized.  Just  two weeks after it was installed near the plant site, someone attempted to destroy the artwork by pulling it out of the ground and repeatedly smashing it with a sledgehammer.

Help the artist Jeff Gipe to restore the iconic memorial . Funds will go toward the repair, re-installation and security for the memorial,

A dedication ceremony will go on as planned on October 18th. Speakers will Include Jon Lipsky, a former FBI agent who led the raid on Rocky Flats; Kristen Iversen, the author of “Full Body Burden: Growing up in the Nuclear Shadow of Rocky Flats”; and Dr. LeRoy Moore, the founder of the Rocky Mountain Peace and Justice Center/ Rocky Flats Nuclear Guardianship.
