60 swims in December and January

I have been incredibly grateful to have the sea close by which has enabled me to go for a swim nearly every day since April this year. It has helped me immensely to get through this difficult time of Covid/lockdown/homeschooling/exams/studies/work/being a mum and wife and all the overwhelming emotions that come with it.   


I would like to give something back to the community by raising money for Mind Charity who are doing amazing work to support people of all ages, sex and communities with their mental health and wellbeing. 

I want to promote mental health and wellbeing through my daily cold water swims/dips which have given me immense strength physically and mentally. I have found a wonderful supportive swim community I can share this amazing experience with, they have been encouraging, inspirational and truly motivational. During the week I will swim at 6:30am before I go to work and on weekends I will go one day  with my husband and on the other with my lovely neighbours who I have inspired to meet up once a week.

This year it will be my first swim throughout the winter, I am setting myself a challenge to swim in December and January come sunshine or rain. On days that won’t allow me due to dangerous water conditions I will take an ice cold shower instead but still go down to the sea to watch the waves in my cossie and get splashed at.
