FAMILY IN CRISIS
Colby Bilotta loves hockey. Plain and simple.
He is 14 years old and has been playing youth hockey with the Ice Dogs for the past 5 years. Colby has completely dedicated himself to the organization and never misses a practice or game... even though he suffered a spiral fracture of his tibia/fibula last season. He could always be found at the rink in his wheelchair, cheering on his team. Now that his fracture has healed, he is working hard to rehab his leg and get prepared for evaluations in April.
One problem. Colby's father is suffering from a recently diagnosed heart condition, and as such, the family has had to close their business. As if that wasn't enough, Colby's mother was diagnosed with a degenerative, progressive form of MS and is unable to get back to her design work until her disease stabilizes. With no source of income for the family, hockey is out of the question.
A group of Ice Dog coaches and managers are raising money to fund Colby's hockey tuition for the 2015-2016 season. In addition, we'd like to ensure that if he needs to replace any equipment or travel for tournaments, he can afford to do so.
Please help us keep Colby on the ice! He's a great kid and deserves to play this year!!
