Volunteer trip to Nicaragua

Friends and family! I am going to spend a week in Nicaragua this September helping build an elementary school, and I need your help! Also, as you may know, my birthday is coming up this August 27th so your donation would make for a great birthday present! ;)
I am donating a week of my time, and airfare and expenses, to participate in this project. Surf for Life also asks that each volunteer raise $2,000 to donate to the cause. This is where YOU come in! By making a donation of any amount you can, you can help contribute to this great cause and help the needy kids of Northern Nicaragua get an education in a safe environment!
I am extremely grateful for this opportunity, and I am looking forward to not only helping but bonding with the El Manzano community! There's no minimum amount to contribute - anything helps!

Surf For Life, a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization, supports community projects in coastal communities throughout the developing world. By working with local stakeholders to address their most pressing self-identified needs, Surf For Life projects focus primarily on increasing access to education, health, and economic development. This process of building local capacity and community cohesion results in tangible projects such as the construction of schools, health clinics, and community centers.
Surf For Life projects are made a reality solely through the hard work and fundraising efforts of passionate partners and volunteers. Teams of 8-12 volunteers at a time work side-by-side with local community members on-site throughout the construction process. Your contribution will not only directly support the construction of these projects, but also build lasting local capacity and powerful cultural exchange.
