<div>Hello my name is Jacob Cohan. My grandfather who I call Pop, was diagnosed with Parkinson's at the age of 63. For 16 years, my entire life, my grandfather and my family’s life has changed drastically. Pop was a passionate lawyer who moved from Washington D.C. to Dallas to create his own law firm. He loved exploring, staying active, and sports.

<div>Now, even simple tasks such as moving across the room in the house is a struggle. His walking is different, his thoughts sometimes hesitate, and sleeping doesn’t come easy to him. Watching someone you love go through this is heartbreaking, and it has deeply affected me.

<div>I want to do something meaningful for him and for others battling Parkinson’s. So I am starting this fundraiser for Parkinson’s. 100% of the money raised from the fundraiser will go directly to the Michael J. Fox Foundation, which is dedicated to funding Parkinson’s research and supporting those living with the disease.

<div>This project is part of my school IB project, but it’s also personal. I love raising money for causes I care about, and Pop has inspired me to make a difference. My goal is $1,800, and every dollar brings us closer to a cure. I will also be offering discounts on my photography business, @capturedbycohan as part of this fundraiser, so friends, family, and classmates can contribute while supporting my work.
