Help us expand our business to be able to employ more refugees. We have just employed our first refugee and come good on our refugee employment commitment. Now we are in an expansion phase and need your help to beat the banks and raise funds to buy a larger coffee roaster to cope with growing demand, and funds to cover roastery setup costs.
It is very hard for Refugees to find proper paying jobs and have their skills and previous training acknowledged. At SCR we are trying to turn that around and help refugees with employment.

My name is Ben, I am married with three kids, I am a Christian Pastor and the owner and head roaster of Soul City Roasters, a coffee roasting business based in Adelaide, South Australia.
We are committed to helping refugees through employment and life help. It is very difficult for them to break into the work force without previous local experience and references. At SCR we appreciate their home country experience and training and will take that into account in the employment process. Through employment they will become legitimate tax payers which helps with integration and visas.
We are a "Business as Mission" social enterprise and we need your help. There is growing demand with the business and we are becoming limited by the equipment we have. So much more can be done with some funding help from you. Please help us afford a larger roaster and funds to cover setup costs of our roastery.
The roaster itself will cost about $30k including installation. $20k will help cover roastery setup costs.
