Greener Pastures Therapeutic Riding Program needs your help! Our little Sapphire is recovering from Red Maple toxicity and her bills are currently over $8,000! She went in to the vet hospital with such a low red blood cell count that they didn't think she would even make it through the first night. They hooked her up to another horse and gave her a blood transfusion for 8 hours. She began to respond but only slightly. The veterinarians hopes were for her blood levels to increase within the first treatment. 72 hours of treatments later and she is beginning to get stronger. Her recovery is being considered miraculous by New England Equine! So many children with varied diagnoses have been touched by this special ponies kindness, and incredible ability to just know what special needs they have and teach them to ride.
