Codys Journey to Nursing School

After the economy crashed my career of 20 years in forensics/funeral business became obsolete. So in 2013 I started my journey to become a registered nurse . I have laid down sacrifice after sacrifice to get through school. I'm 18 months from graduating and I start my clinicals in August. This past week I had a health scare that put me in the hospital. Although I missed only 3 days of work, it has put me in serious jeopardy of missing crucial financial deadlines to insure my place in the nursing program. If I lose my spot Im back on a waiting list , plus losing my financial aid. I'm 41 years old and I have sacrificed everything to become financially stable so that I can be the father my daughter's need me to be. They have sacrificed right along with me and I have missed a lot of memories going to school full time and work full time. There have been a lot of 20 hour days over the last 4 years. This machine finally broke and I suffered a health scare that financially set me back. I have spe nt 20 years helping families at the worst time off tgeir life. I'm a proud man that would never complain or ask for help. But I'm at a crossroads and now Im the one who needs help. I'm in jeopardy of losing my ability to finish school. That's why I'm doing this today. Anything helps me get closer to the finish line. My daughters and I greatly appreciate and would be forever grateful to help their Daddy get across the finish line!
