Cody Conquers Cancer Fund

Donation protected

2017 has easily been the hardest year of my family's lives. After months of debilitating symptoms and countless doctors appointments, Cody has been diagnosed with stage 2 colorectal cancer. Needless to say, as a family, we were shocked. Colorectal cancer...at 30...How can this be??

A cancer diagnosis is one of the most difficult and stressful times for any couple and family. Over the next 7-9 months Cody will undergo 6 weeks of radiation, 4 months of chemotherapy, and likely surgery. On May 17th, Cody will begin his treatment towards restoring his health; however, it does not come cheaply. Beyond the cost of the insurmountable medical bills, there are countless outside costs as well. One major cost is that Cody will have to spend a great deal of time away from work during his treatment process.  Erica will also take off time as well to care for Cody and attend various appointments.

You may feel like me... helpless. But trust me when I say that there are two very tangible ways that we can support Cody and Erica.

First of all, would you pray... Our prayers do not fall on deaf ears! Cody and Erica have felt so supported knowing there is a team of prayer warriors crying out on their behalf.
-Pray that health be restored to Cody's body
-Pray for Cody and Erica (and the rest of the family) to be surrounded by the Peace that Surpasses All Understanding.
-Pray for the OSHU doctors, that God would guide them through Cody's treatment.
-Pray that Cody's restoration would be a witness to all those who hear it.

Second of all, if you feel led, would you help alleviate the financial burden? By simply donating money, you can help relieve some of the stress that Cody and Erica are both feeling.

From the bottom of my heart, I can't thank you enough. You are such a blessing to me, Cody, Erica, and the rest of my family. With your prayers and support, together, we will restore my brother's health, and that, is priceless.

From Erica, Cody's Wife:

We are so grateful for our supportive community of friends and family who have showered us with love and encouragement during the difficult diagnosis and staging process.

The OHSU Knight Cancer Institute has a bell that their patients ring once their cancer treatment is complete. It's called the Torchbearer's Bell, and when survivors ring the bell, they yell "onward!" We can't wait for Cody to ring that bell loud and to claim victory over this battle!

Onward, Cody!
