Cody Dawkins Wreck

As many of you know by now, Cody Dawkins was in a bad motorcycle accident Wednesday night, February 28, 2018. An uninsured driver in an SUV pulled out in front of him and he was unable to stop, unfortunately. As a result, when his helmet came off, it broke his jaw. His right femur was broken along with both of his wrists and other contusions from road rash on his body. He split his skull and had a major bleed on his brain. He was rushed into surgery Wednesday night to stop the bleeding and they removed part of his skull so the brain could swell without further damage. He is currently in ICU and has been for going on 3 weeks, unable to communicate. The doctors have since put a rod in his right leg, put splints on both wrists and wired his jaw shut so it can heal properly. As of today, he is still on a ventilator, feeding tube and has a trach. He is fighting hard against all odds. Cody has always been an active, loving young man with a passion for God and anything with a motor in it. He was very active in his church at Eastern Oaks. He loves to help out with the Children's Church on Sundays, and enjoys his youth group on Wednesday nights. He also spent a lot of his time working with his dad on their motorcycles and cars. He is known and loved by many people of all places. We believe one day he will be back doing what he loves. Due to the long recovery Cody will endure, this page is to help with all the expenses that come with a tragic accident like this.
