Happy Summer!! THANK YOU so much to all of our Cocos English Supporters for an amazing first edition of our program.
During our first edition of our program we had 135 students participate. We were able to provide school supplies and educational resources to all of our students. Thank You Thank You Thank You!! Every student learned our Class song "We are the World" by Michael
Jackson and learned their biography which includes 10 sentences about themselves. Each of the ten sentences includes a lesson we learned in our 12 week program. Each student is able to understand and communicate with basic English words.
By popular demand, now July 2015 we have started our second edition of Cocos English Classes. Where each student can continue their ESL education. So far 30 students from the first edition have decided to continue with our program. We have 25 incoming new students. We are also working with a local Christian church and teaching them Christian songs in English. We have around 25 church members from all ages participating in our "Cocos English Classes-Worship" program.
The classes are free of charge to all my students and there is a Q20 ($2.67) donation for materials each student has to collaborate with. In order to keep this wonderful project going on I would like to reach out to each and everyone of you. I would love to know if you are interested in sharing this experience with me. You can be a pen pal with my students, make a monetary donation or donate school supplies. Every little bit helps.. On behalf of all my students I would like to thank you for the unconditional support, prayers and love all of you send us daily. Without you this dream would not be possible! So every little bit helps and we hope one day you can visit our classroom! Thank you for making a difference in each of our lives and making this world a better place, one Coco student at the time!!
