Coby's Journey Home

Hello everyone,

My name is Ashley Wilde and I have a beautiful neighbor named Coby. Coby is a beautiful woman- a spitfire, a loving mom of 5, a wonderful Oma to her grandbabies, a tell it like it is lady, and pretty much the best neighbor in the world. She is a person who will literally drop everything to give you anything and do anything for you. She's done this for many people in our neighborhood. She just turned 70 years young this year and some weeks ago her life and the life of her family was turned upside down.

After many doctors trips it was found that Coby has a progressive and fatal disorder. Unfortunately there was nothing more that the medical team could do for her. She is now home surrounded by her kids, grandkids, husband, many cherished plants, her beautiful garden- all the things that made her the happiest in the world, while keeping her as comfortable as possible. She would continually tell me how lucky and blessed her life has been. She was thankful for every day.

So the purpose of this fundraiser you ask? As I said, Coby and her husband Tom have 5 wonderful children. These children are spread out all throughout the United States living in different states. They have travelled to be home with their mama during this time, but there is no timeline for how long Coby has left. Her children can not afford to miss work and to travel back and forth. While they are all here we want to keep them here until the very end. For this, we came up with the idea to raise funds that they can use to be able to take care of things, and be with Coby as her journey here comes to an end. It is so important to their dad and to each of them to be able to stay.

Any funds raised here will go directly to the family for:

The ability to continue to take off work and stay here in Indiana

Groceries and any other necessities they come across and need as they are here.

Any extra can be used to cover other unexpected expenses that may arise.
