Cob workshop in Mexico

We have been asked by some families in the state of Oaxaca Mexico to provide a workshop and demonstration on cob building techniques so that they and the surrounding areas that were devastated by the recent earthquakes can learn how to utilize the free resources under their feet to build sustainable and earthquake safe homes that will withstand the tests of time.

The money raised will be for the travel and food expenses of our team, so not to burden the communities with our presence, but to truly help.

The workshops are scheduled to start near the end of December 2017 and will continue through for atleast a month.

This effort is not just to repair broken homes, but also to repair some rifts between our countries. The fact that we are doing this without governments, or any other group that has an alterior agenda, but simply families working together, we feel we will be successful building strong relationships and community that will last generations. This will also, hopefully, be the first of many trips to foster this friendship over the next several years.
