Summary:
We have decided to pursue training for Leon to become a Pastor of a church at some point in the future.
We have been accepted on to the Master of Divinity programme at The Masters Seminary in Los Angeles, aiming to start in January 2015.
Including tuition and all living expenses for the first year we estimate that we need about £2,000 per month. So far our estimated income looks like this:
£500 Continued self employment from UK contracts
£40 TMS matching funds scholarship
So, we are short £1,460 per month and that's where you come in.
Ideally supporters would give a monthly donation, it could break down like this:
4 people at £100 per month
8 people at £50 per month
16 people at £25 per month
26 people at £10 per month
Of course, any support is most welcome and if you can help in other ways please do so!
Donations can be made through this site although it is cheaper through our church who are coordinating for us. Regular donations can be made in this way as well. Please contact us for details, we can also apply these "offline" transactions to our gofundme page so it keeps track.
We also have a wish list of other hurdles to eliminate: flights, rent deposit etc. do let us know if you can help with these!

Leon has had a growing passion for the word of God over the last 3 and a half years: to learn it and apply it and more recently to see it preached and protected. This progressed to the point where we felt the call to ministry and have been exploring it since about December.
We applied for and have been accepted on to the Master of Divinity programme at The Masters Seminary (TMS) in Los Angeles starting on 18th August 2014. More details here:

The main reasons we've chosen TMS is for their focus on the inerrancy of the Bible, preaching it effectively and the support they provide for all the family with the integration into Grace Community Church. There are many other reasons why we've chosen TMS and no other organisation provides what we are looking for. More details of what they say are their distinctives can be found here:
