Coach John Lawson's 80th Birthday!

This year on August 6th we want to celebrate his commitment to the Lewisville/The Colony area. "Coach" is one of The Colony's founding citizens. First moving to the area in the mid 1970's. This year Coach will turn the BIG 80 and his friends and family are organizing a special event to celebrate for him.

More than 30 years Coach John Lawson has been inspiring our youth to be at there best. Not only in the ring, but as the fabric of our society. He has inspired us, championed us and loved us.

Longtime North Texas boxing Coach John Lawson has trained hundreds of young fighters and helped them over come the challenges of youth while learning dedication, discipline and mental focus on a positive life outlook. He has helped so many of our young athletes raise to their best potential.

"You can't do anything for self-esteem like boxing" says Coach Lawson.  His Lewisville Boxing Team are a staple of our community and "Coach" has been the driving force behind it.

The man John Lawson has touched us all and interacting with him simply puts joy in our day. His wisdom, knowledge and understand has giving us pause. His example of living a healthy lifestyle makes look at him and shake our heads in amazement that he will soon turn 80 years old.

John Lawson is a man to admire and we (his family) all love him very much and have been happy to share him with the world.

Today, we the family are asking you to help us just give him back a little something in return. Some SPECIAL because he has given us SO MUCH and we would love to give him just a token of your love and appreciation for touching our lives.

We would like to recognize the man Coach Lawson in our midst and let him know how special he is to us. Please join us, friend, family team members and co-workers in celebrating the 80th birthday of Coach Lawson.

We are planning a gala SURPRISE event in the Lewisville/Colony area (shhh, dont tell Coach) to be held on the evening of August 5th. Detail to come shortly and it is open to all. We are asking that instead of bringing random gifts that you support this campaign so we can give him a great event and anything left over we will give to him as a CASH gift so he can do with it as he sees fit.
