On January 14th, 2016 we lost an amazing person. He battled Scleroderma for years and was a superhero among many in our community and left an imprint in our hearts.
Those who spent time with Coach Dave remember him for his humility, kindness, and sense of humor. Coach Dave became a trailblazer as becoming President and Coach of the National Women’s Football Association “Emerald Coast Barracudas”.
Coach Dave had a huge heart and genuinely enjoyed coaching for (Lincoln) and supported various community league teams.
Watching his family and friends thrive and succeed in life brought Dave much joy. Also a former athlete, he understood the financial challenges that many youth face participating in sports and perusing education.
In keeping Coach Dave’s spirit alive and honoring him, the family has set up the Coach Dave Memorial Scholarship Fund.
Every contribution made will continue to provide the kids with opportunities to access their dream in sports and education. As Coach Dave would say, “Play Thru The Whistle”!
