Coach Welsh and Family

Hello fellow Otterbein track alums. I was recently made aware that our coach, Doug Welsh, has been diagnosed with cancer and is currently undergoing radiation treatment. His deteriorating health has added a financial burden to he and his family. As many of you may or may not know, Coach Welsh and his wife Jill have twin daughters who are high school seniors and will be going off to college next fall. Due to the financial stress, the family is currently down to one car and having difficulty getting the girls where they need to go as well as Coach to his treatments. I know that like me, many of you have would not have come to Otterbein and enjoyed the experience of being part of a great group of teammates, friends and coaches without the efforts of Coach Welsh. Please join me in helping Coach and his family in this time of need.
