Coach Mark Lasseter Bayside Academy

Dear Families 

 As you may know Varsity Football coach and P.E. teacher Mark Lasseter, suffered a heart attack at school on Monday. Coach Lasseter is a one of a kind man who has impacted the lives of countless players and young students. Not only has he taught us how to be good football players, he has taught us how to lead a life of integrity. To Coach Lasseter, football is everything. It’s his passion, his financial support, and he has devoted his life turning young boys into young men. As players, we have seen that Coach Lasseter cares about football, but at the end of the day what he truly cares about is his players success in the game of life. Not only has Coach impacted his players, he has positively impacted the lives of so many of your children. As a P.E. teacher he has seen many of your children grow up, and he has tried to instill the same values in them as he has in his players. What has happened to our coach is nothing short of a tragedy, and we want to do as much as we can to support him and his family through this difficult time. Bayside has prided itself for years as being a “Family,” and if there is one man who believes in this concept it is Mark Lasseter.
