The Coach Jones Memorial Scholarship was created to celebrate and acknowledge the accomplishments of Lonnie Jones who was a Teacher, Basketball Coach and Guidance Counselor. His career in education spanned an impressive 39 years across three states: Kentucky, Ohio and Indiana. During his longest tenure with Carroll County Schools in Carrollton, KY he coached girls and boys basketball for more than two decades.

The Coach Jones memorial scholarship will be awarded to graduating, college-bound seniors and will give preference to female basketball players and athletes. It will be awarded annually at the end of the school year.
