Coach Beach Memorial

For over the past 38 years, Coach Beach was the heart of the Henry Ford II Falcon Cross Country team. He brightened any room he walked into, made long runs bearable, and made an impact on every person he met. From the runs that went on for miles, to the never ending "one more" strideouts, Coach Beach was the motivation to just keep running.

Starting October 28th, 1979 Coach Beach led by example and ran 13,131 days in a row. Just shy of 36 years, his running streak came to an end as a result of his cancer diagnosis.  For the past two years Coach Beach fought a strong fight. Unfortunately, on January 31st, 2018 his fight came to an end. He  is survived by his beloved wife Trudy, his son Brian, his daughter-in-law Tonya, and his grandaughter who lit up his world, Amelia.

Despite the cancer, Beach never showed his struggle and continued to be the biggest cheerleader for everyone else. Together with Coach Allmacher, he helped to build the family that is the Falcon Cross Country Team.

As a family of past and current runners, we would all like to pay tribute in honor of the coach, person, and friend that Coach Beach was. Although he is no longer with us, we want his memory to continue to inspire future runners. By commerating a bench in his name, in the park that he trained his runners throughout the years, his legacy can continue to live on.  Remaining funds will be going to cover the costs of laying him to rest and to the team that he dedicated his life to build.
