I have posted this request because I find myself in a position that I never thought that I would. Life has a funny way of taking many twists and turns and the past 6-7 years have been difficult.
It began soon after my mom's death and since then my life has been in a downward spiral. I am and have been dealing with severe clinical depression and other health issues as well as downturns that can happen to everyone at one time or another. I was laid off in succession from two different jobs, was forced to sell my condo, had vascular surgery, haven't been able to work my part time position due to problems with my legs and the story goes on and on.
Because I am in a terrible position financially, I am no longer able to afford my apartment and may be facing homelessness. I am using this method as a last resort because as hard as I've tried, I have not been able to provide sufficient income for housing, food, utilities etc. I have given this much thought and when "GoFundMe" was suggested, I was certain that I absolutely could not do this...meaning asking friends, acquaintances and strangers for money, revealing the situation I am in and being vulnerable to the point where there are no secrets from anyone.
I have few expectations; however, any donation would be appreciated. I have had to set aside my pride, my fear of exposing myself in this situation and putting myself in the position of being judged by one and all. I'm not and have never been lazy so this has not happened because I didn't want to work or spent money frivolously. Simply a part of life that sometimes happens and I am learning that it really can happen to anyone for a myriad of reasons. The money would be used for moving, storage, first month's rent and security.
