Help for the Johnson Family

We all love Flip, Trish, and their awesome kids. Whether you know them personally or through friends, they are a family who inspires others with how big, generously and deeply they love. They point people towards hope and Jesus, and they always have, even as they are struggling with very real suffering.

Flip's fight with cancer has had so many ups and downs, and through it all the Johnson family has kept on praising and trusting Jesus. Their faith is commendable and their lives are precious to so many people.

In addition to praying without ceasing, this GoFundMe is another real and tangible way to help with anything Flip, Trish, Sydney and family, Slone and Sutton may need. Our hope is to help cover as many foreseen and unforeseen expenses as possible.

For those who don't know the story, Flip has been living with Crohn's disease since he was a teenager, but last September, on Flip and Trish's 27th anniversary, they got the diagnosis that it had turned into cancer. Since then he has received weeks of chemo and rounds of radiation, fought infection, and this past week ended up in the hospital with a blockage.

"Sitting here by Flip Johnson ‘s bedside with worship music playing. He’s still sleeping a lot due to pain meds and nausea medication. I’m thankful he can sleep which means he is comfortable. Tomorrow late afternoon he will have a G-Tube placed into his stomach for us to be able to relieve pressure from his stomach. We are pulling out and not pushing in as many people use this as a feeding source. This will be something that stays in place and we come home with. The last 2 days have been tough. Difficult conversations and heavy hearts. Thank you for your continued love, support and prayers. They mean the world to us. #detour #justkeeppraising #prayforflip
