CNR Enterprises D.B.A. Cluck U Chicken

To all our loyal customers, thank you for supporting us for almost 28 years.  Like your family, our Cluck U Chicken family has been suffering from this global pandemic with all the things associated with this unprecedented year.

In 1993, shortly after graduating college, I signed my first lease to open up Cluck U Chicken.  I chose Morristown for its small town feel, proximity to great college kids, and the opportunity to supply delicious, quick service food to all the businesses and residents of this great town.  When we opened our doors at 64 Morris Street in April 1993, the outpouring of support and well wishes was quite humbling. Morristown embraced us and rumors quickly swirled that we indeed had some pretty phenomenal chicken!  I wish I could say the rest is history, but history has a funny way of writing its ending.

As most Morristonians know, the zoning board has been having a field day with redeveloping Morristown.  Our loyal customers know far too well that we've been affected immensely.  The current redevelopment plan has forced us out of our home that we've had for the past 27 years and transplanted us into a temporary spot that we need to vacate by December 31, 2020.  Add Covid-19 to the mix, and you'll see that our expenses have far exceeded our sales.

As a working owner, I have tried desperately to keep my employees employed during this pandemic.  My employees are loyal, hard working, and dedicated.  Our loyal customers have seen the same faces behind the counter for years.  Andres, Steve, and Jose have been with me for 25 years.  Jorge, Javier, Pablo, and Luis are all with me over 10 years.  Even the other employees who I haven't mentioned by name are with me for many years - a true testament that Cluck U is family.  My team has stayed with me in Morristown for all these years because the town, and customers, make going into a work a joy and not a job.

In January 2021, your favorite long time, quick service restaurant is moving again.  We're hoping to reopen our doors mid February.  As they say, "it takes a village," but in this case, it takes a lot of money to make this move happen AGAIN.  I want to keep as many employees employed during this transition by utilizing them to help move, remodel and set up our new home.  With our sales grossly affected during this pandemic, I'm reaching out to our loyal customers for help.  Anything you can donate will go to keeping Cluck U Chicken alive in Morristown.  If you can't donate financially, perhaps you can make it a point to dine with us more frequently.  We've been all affected by 2020, especially small town businesses, so please consider helping out a neighbor.  Thank you in advance and please know that I appreciate you and your business.
