COVID-19: APP creation to help each other

HelpCommunity (TeAyudo), the solidarity platform that connects neighbours that need help with those that want to help.
Launched in Spain but with global reach, the platform will be available in Spanish, English, French and Portuguese.
The COVID19 crisis has highlighted the lack of assistance given to a large part of society as well as the general public’s desire to help those in need, especially in their own neighborhood.
HelpCommunity is a citizen collaboration platform that puts volunteers in contact with people who need help with simple daily tasks (e.g. going to the supermarket, or buying medicine, helping kids with homework) or are suffering from loneliness and simply need to speak with someone (e.g.,"virtual coffee"). It will hopefully foster unity and a sense of neighborhood community at a time when society needs it the most. It will also be possible for users to help family members remotely by managing their accounts to ensure a trusted neighbour can help take care of their dear ones.
In addition, we also aim to alleviate the serious economic effects that will occur as a result of the virus. We will be the platform where businesses can impact their local area through meaningful contributions (eg. by donating food close to the expiration date) or facilitating local food delivery. In return, beneficiaries of the help provided will be able to tip volunteers at their discretion via the platform. Finally, we will hire moderators to join our team to ensure an ongoing monitoring of the requests and make TeAyudo the safest and easiest platform to use.
To realize this vision and help as many people as possible especially during this confinement period, we must act fast. We have nearly completed version V1 of the platform and planning to launch in the coming days. In addition of the good will and probono support of many volunteers that have helped make this project a reality, we hope to raise €30,000 thanks to GoFundMe. The money will be used to cover costs associated with the development and management of the ongoing operations of the platform /app (estimated at €75.000 to date). We are working hard so that the rest of the expenses is covered by private corporate donors and we can give maximum diffusion to the service.
This initiative is led by some of the best product designers & software developers in Europe, recently involved in the launch of CoronaMadrid and COVID19 apps in collaboration with the City of Madrid to facilitate patients auto-diagnosis. The application has been visited by more than 2M people in the first week of its launch.
We believe digital solutions can help us navigate this unexpected social and health crisis created by the Coronavirus. Every gesture counts. We thank you for your help and solidarity.

TeAyudo, la plataforma solidaria que conecta a los vecinos que necesitan ayuda con aquellos que quieren ayudar.
Lanzada desde España pero con alcance global, inicialmente estará disponible en Español y próximamente en Inglés, Francés y Portugués.
La crisis de COVID19 ha puesto en evidencia la falta de asistencia prestada a una gran parte de la sociedad, así como el deseo del público en general de ayudar a los necesitados, especialmente en su propio vecindario.
TeAyudo es una plataforma de colaboración ciudadana, que pone en contacto voluntarios con personas que necesitan ayuda en tareas sencillas (ir al súper, traer medicinas, pequeñas labores fuera del hogar o simplemente un café virtual para socializarnos con el vecindario). Sirve para fomentar la unidad y sensación de comunidad entre los vecinos del barrio, esa que tanto necesitamos en este momento donde nos encontramos más aislados.
Además, queremos paliar los graves efectos económicos que se producirán a raíz del virus. Seremos la plataforma donde comercios o empresas puedan tener un impacto local (ej. donando alimentos cercanos a la fecha de caducidad). Igualmente, instauraremos un modelo de propinas que gratifique a los voluntarios. Finalmente, contrataremos moderadores para que se unan a nuestro equipo para garantizar un monitoreo continuo de las solicitudes y hacer de TeAyudo la plataforma más segura y fácil de usar.
Para realizar esta visión y ayudar a tantas personas como sea posible, especialmente durante este período de confinamiento, debemos actuar rápido. Casi hemos completado la versión V1 de la plataforma y planeamos lanzarla en los próximos días. Además de la buena voluntad y el apoyo probono de muchos voluntarios que han ayudado a hacer realidad este proyecto, esperamos recaudar 30,000€ gracias a GoFundMe. El dinero se utilizará para cubrir los costos asociados con el desarrollo y la gestión de las operaciones en curso de la plataforma / aplicación (estimado en 75,000€ hasta la fecha). Estamos trabajando arduamente para que el resto de los gastos sea cubierto por donantes corporativos privados y podamos dar la máxima difusión al servicio.
Esta iniciativa está liderada por algunos de los mejores desarrolladores y de producto de España, con varios de los miembros del equipo que lanzó CoronaMadrid APP.
