After graduating from LHS, he earned his degree from Texas A&amp;M University and went on to become a teacher and cross country and track coach at Somerville ISD, inspiring countless students with his passion for sports and education. Dylan's love for helping his students reach their full potential has become a passion of his.

<div>In early January 2025, Dylan was diagnosed with <strong>Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML)</strong>. He is currently undergoing treatment at MD Anderson in Houston. Despite this challenging journey, Dylan remains in good spirits and has a positive attitude. His family, who still reside in Lockhart, have been a constant source of support and strength for him.

<div>As Dylan continues his fight against AML, he awaits a bone marrow donor, a crucial step in his treatment. Despite the uncertainty, Dylan remains remarkably positive and determined. He is hopeful that he will soon find a suitable donor and be able to return to teaching and coaching, the activities he loves, very soon. <strong>The treatment for AML is complex and costly, with expenses that can be overwhelming for any family.</strong> Every donation, no matter how small, counts, and your generosity will help alleviate some of the financial burdens associated with his treatment.
