Yoga came into my life several years ago, when my sister in law mentioned to me that a local studio was offering an introductory promotion. I’ve always been on-and-off with working out (running, exercise), so I thought I would give it a try.
The studio practices mainly hot yoga, and I felt like I had found my niche from the first class. It was definitely challenging, but there was a gentle determination within me that pushed me to continue. While
practicing, I felt a sense of peace in my mind that I’ve never been able to achieve on my own. My busy mind is always on thego, along with my daily life, and yoga was the one outlet that allowed me to clear my mind.
As with everyone, 2020 has been a challenging year for me. I started off dealing with covid by working out daily for three straight months, but then life and work got busy and I took a break.
I’ve been thinking about ways to do morefor myself, even if only a few hours a week, and then remembered how yoga helped me - physically, mentally and emotionally.
I found a local hot yoga studio offering online 200 hour yoga teacher training and thought it would be perfect for me. Withcovid, I would be able to practice in the comfort of my own home and find that time to do something for myself that I love and become certified so I could eventually teach and make a difference for others.
Again, as with many others, times are difficult financially and I don’t have the extrameans to pay for the upcoming winter course. I understand the times we are living in right now, and I would be so grateful and blessed to achieve the required goal. So I’m taking a chance and seeing where this may lead me.
Be well, stay safe, and find your inner peace during these challenging times.
