Bradford Sincock

Donation protected
Bradford Sincock is the deeply beloved husband of Nur Sincock and father of Mark Sincock and Andrew Sincock.
Bradford has struggled with type 2 diabetes for years, along with a heart condition. He recently had an incident where he struck his right leg on the corner of a table and it has taken a turn for the worst. While himself and family thought it was just a bad bruise, we all unfortunately found out that it had progressed to a blood clot and other circumstances. Because of the diabetes, it unfortunately worsened. To make a long story short and without sparing too many personal details, we are at the point where the two options for Bradford are: we don't do anything and he loses his life or we amputate his leg where he has a 50-60% survival chance. We want to do everything we can to help Bradford get through this but we need financial help. As a future daughter-in-law writing this, I very humbly ask for any help you can spare. This is one of the most beautiful families I have ever met and all we want is to make sure their father has more time with all of us.
Thank you for any and everything you give! You have no idea how much it means to all of us!

UPDATE: 1/14/24
Thank you so much to everyone who has already donated and shared. The support has been overwhelming.
Bradford will undergo the amputation surgery for his right leg at 11am Jakarta time, 9pm tonight MST. The survival rate is very low. He will have a very long road of recovery ahead of him since the diabetes and his heart condition will make it harder for his body to heal quickly. We will continue to post more updates on here as things progress. After the surgery is done and we have some more answers, Mark (oldest son) will post on here to share how the donated funds will be distributed. We thank you again so much for all of the support and ask that you continue sharing this fundraiser and sending love and prayers to the family.

UPDATE: 1/15/24
The surgery was successful and Bradford pulled through! He is resting now. Mark flew out this morning and will be in Jakarta with his parents tomorrow. Andrew will fly out Thursday. After Mark talks with the doctors, he will make another update.
We cannot thank everyone enough for all of the support, prayers, and donations. Please continue to send love and prayers as there is still a long road ahead of us. Thank you!

Last week, I was thinking about what I’d say at dads eulogy. Today, I’m writing on behalf of our family for saving dads life.

From his best friend Tom Darin, “Brad is the nicest guy I have ever met, to a fault”. Dad would hold the door open for five families before he’d walk through him self. Most of you know dad or Bradford and need no introduction to his character, and some of you only know him through a degree of relation. I could only hope to help you all understand the person you helped save.

The past decade has not been kind to dad. And it's difficult to understand why circumstance has been so cruel to someone who quite literally wanted to give the world the best he could. My dad spent the better part of his life spoiling Mom, Andrew and I. He gave to charities, sent orphans to school, and built mosques. Seasonally he’d run the SPE golf tournament, coach and commission all sports Andrew and I grew up competing in. Then on his spare time, dad was a scoutmaster and committee member of BSA Troop 455. He found time to be the most present father Andrew and I could deserve. He was a providing husband to mom, and the most selfless friend to all. A crash in the oil industry wrecked everything dad had worked towards. Ours and other expat families in indonesia were hit hard. Despite clawing to get it back, the industry never recovered, and neither did we, as well as many other families. Which is why this platform became an option. Circumstance has not been kind but dad is resilient and perseveres. To this day he still refuses to lay down.

We had dad set up with BPGS which is a national health care service. It works for other needs but for the aggressive nature of dads flesh eating bacteria, it was simply too slow to do any good. We were looking at a wait time of five to seven days before he would reach an operating room and dad being diabetic with a heart condition, that was unacceptable. He would be gone by then. Mom made the decision to put him in a better hospital with the financial help of her Sister Emma. Whether we had the money or not it had to be done, and we would find a way to make it work. Thank you all.

The support has been overwhelming and there are no words for how grateful we are. Had it not been for words of encouragement from close friends and family, dad may not have rallied. He may not have been around to impress his physicians the way he did with his will and recovery. Had it not been for the awareness and financial support kicked off by my fiancée Myki through this platform and your generous contributions, we would not have felt the ease of mind to choose the best medical options for dad. And surely, if dad didn’t have the best facilities and physicians fighting his aggressive strain of flesh eating bacteria, he wouldn't have made it. And I would most likely be writing a Eulogy instead of this letter of gratitude.

From the Sincock family, thank you all for your continued support and kind words.

We’ll post daily updates on dads recovery and a break down of where the funds are going.
