Carson-Newman University students need your help to embark on an epic 23-day journey to Germany, Austira, Switzerland, and France in May 2023 for an Interdisciplinary Study Abroad Program. Coming from the Appalachian area, many at C-N are first generation college students and even more are financially restricted. And though they have an adventurer's spirit and explorer's passion, these restrictions could keep them from experiencing a program of a lifetime. We can't let that happen! Your donations, however small, could be the difference between a student going or not going on this trip. Please, join me in helping C-N Eagles to become the educated citizens and worldwide servant-leaders we wish them to be.
Donations will be divided as evenly as possible between the C-N students participating in this program. By hitting our goal, the cost of each student's trip will be cut by at least a third!
I'm Dr. Welsh, an avid traveler and a professor of psychology at Carson-Newman University. Following my own life-changing study abroad experience, I created this program to give my students the same opportunity for personal and professional growth. By experiencing new places and cultures, students receive first-hand exposure to different ways of thinking, promoting personal, professional, and social maturity. Stepping out into the world encourages students to develop highly valued life skills ranging from intercultural communication to critical thinking in problem-solving. Let the adventure begin!
