Please help my dad beat cancer

Donation protected
Cancer... what can I say? It absolutely devastates! My father, Jeff Flynn has been diagnosed with Non Small Cell Carcinoma Lung Cancer. Last month during a physical, that they found a mass on the CT scan of his lungs. Doctors doing what doctors do, they ordered the necessary tests to determine exactly what they were looking at. Weeks later we hear the word we knew but hoped wasn't so, Cancer. I go into this unsure exactly how much of my father's personal medical information I should share. Originally, I started this fund to help him as a surprise, to ease the financial burden of being out of work and the medical expenses. At the same time I wanted to be careful what personal information I shared. * **NOTE TO THE ABOVE: Since donations started coming in, I decided it was time to share this page with my dad. Jeff was extremely touched by everyone's support and has given his blessing to share his progress during this journey. He is humbled by and thankful to all of you.*** Cancer doesn't define my dad. What does and what I want people to know about him is this: My dad was a single father in a time when single fathers weren't really heard of. He was and always has been there for me. He's been the one to be there for all of our family when they needed him. As we're now here for him. When his big brother died, he had to bury him. A few years later his father died of lung cancer and then soon after, his mother pass suddenly. After many years of marriage, he and his wife divorced but they became friends again. Unfortunately, it was only to find out she herself had cancer. In her last months, he stayed with her to help comfort and care for her.  He has lost so much but still gives of his heart! For his older sister (his last living immediate family member) when he purchased a home, he chose one that would allow for her to have a safe, stable home too. A duplex, instead of a single home for himself. Ensuring she would be taken care of after losing her husband to (sadly) cancer. As a nurse, Jeff helps his patients daily. Now he has become the patient who needs the care, the love, the generosity that he's shown.  It's his turn to receive. After years of giving and years of sacrifice. Now, with chemotherapy, radiation and surgery to remove the cancer, the bills that have accumulated and the loss of work/income is greater than any of us can make up for. Though we are trying to help as much as we can. We also have the costs of treatment and medical bills that have already begun tallying up. And through all of this, my amazing father has remained positive and keeps telling me, "Something will work out". I hope to be that something for him. I hope that you can be that something for him. My father is worth the world to me, I wouldn't be here without him and I don't want to be here without him. Please help with anything you can. Thank you and bless you! (P.S. if you can't give, please share this page and a prayer for his healing and long life would be appreciated as well!❤) Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
