Paula's Healing

My close family friend, Paula Spain, was diagnosed with a stage 3, rare triple negative form of Breast Cancer. On Aug 20th, she was informed that it metastasized to her lymph nodes. Paula started chemotherapy on September 13th and will have a total of 16 rounds of chemo over the course of 5 months, followed by surgery, weeks of radiation, and lastly reconstructive surgery.
Of course this scary, shocking news. It was the last thing we expected. Paula is healthy and very active. Cancer does not discriminate. Paula is tough though, and maintains her positive, grateful attitude. Treatment is expected to be hard and she will be unable to work her primary job, her passion, painting houses and decorating. She is expected to be down at least 6-9 months, possibly longer.
In the midst of it all, Paula and Joseph, her husband, are expecting their first grandbaby November 3rd to their son, Mason. Their daughter, Rachel, is getting married the following weekend. The wedding ceremony will come right in the middle of chemo, but will fall at the end of one round and the beginning of the next, so, the hope is that Paula will feel well enough to attend.
The loss of household income combined with the medical expenses will be tough for her and her husband, Joseph, and we are asking for financial help to ease their stress during this difficult time.
Joseph is already working his full time job as a police officer and side jobs to help offset the medical bills that are currently coming in along with everyday expenses. These two are some of the most loving, giving people and ask for nothing.
