Not only does she work in her field taking beautiful photos of families, children, weddings, pregnant bellies and birth, she is also the local area coordinator for a charity that provides rememberance photographer for families suffering the loss of a baby.

Heather Armstrong volunteers her time as a professional photographer rushing to the bedside of parents who have suffered an unimaginable loss to take beautiful photographs of their child.

Heather has been working soley with her Nikon D300 body, which met an unexpected and tragic demise some weeks ago. The repair shop has confirmed that it is unfixable.
The first thing Heather panicked about when her camera broke was not her art. It was not her business or future in photography. It was her volunteer work. She was terrified that she would get "the call" and not have a camera to rush out and do her very important volunteer work.
Having fallen on financial hardship recently, camera replacement is not feasible for her family of 5.
