We are so excited to share the photos with you that show the water that is now in Ash Pond, one of the ponds we repaired this summer.
A few days ago we had a serious early winter storm in Sand Wash Basin. We had lots of snow and rain in the northern areas. As the rain and snow melt off run down the draws it added tons of water to Ash Pond! This is so exciting.
Ash Pond has only held a very small amount of water for several years. The drainage that filled the pond and cut a new drainage that bypassed the pond. With the work that WHW had done this summer we restructured the drainage into the pond, added height to the dam and added a culvert for overflow. The results are amazing. This will open a whole new area for the wild horses to graze throughout the summer.

Donations will be used for water sources, signage, fencing needs, trail cameras to track our wild horses and other wild life in Sand Wash Basin and along the highway, DNA testing and the education of our followers and visitors to Sand Wash Basin.
