Help put on Production of Closer

Hello, my name is Tad Kincade. I am an aspiring director and producer and I’m looking for help to put on my production of Closer by Patrick Marber. I have a wonderful cast and crew lined up for this show and we are looking for your help. All the money that is donated to us will go towards paying my cast and crew, renting the theatre space, costumes, set pieces, props, and the royalties for the production. Closer is one of my favorite shows. I originally fell in love with the script when I saw it produced at Mesa State College where I went to school, in 2009. Since then it has been my dream to be involved in a production of it.

Four lives intertwine over the course of four and a half years in the densely plotted, stinging look at modern love and betrayal.  Dan, an obituary writer, meets Alice, a stripper, after an accident in the street.  Eighteen months later, they are a couple, and Dan has written a novel inspired by Alice.  While posing for his book jacket cover, Dan meets Anna, a photographer.  He pursues her, but she rejects his advances despite their mutual attraction.  Larry, a dermatologist, “meets” Dan in an internet chat room.  Dan, obsessing over Anna, pretends to be her and has cybersex with Larry.  They arrange to meet the next day at an aquarium.  Larry arrives and so too. Coincidentally does the real Anna.  This sets up a series of pas the lover scenes in which this quarter struggle to find intimacy but can’t seem to get closer.
