Dear whomever daddy has reached with his smile,

Tonight, we are writing this letter requesting help and prayers from you with heavy hearts but with never-ending hope. As many of you know, Clint Bauman, (daddy to us), has been battling brain and spine cancer for over 2 years now. We found out today that our daddy has been given 4-6 months to live! We want you to know that we love our daddy so much and he means the world to us. Daddy has always made time for us and makes us each feel so special. He always puts us first. He works so hard every day, even on bad days while feeling sick, to support our family because he loves us that much. He heads to BNSF Railroad each day and greets everyone with a smile on his face because he loves his clients and knows they need his support.  Also, they are part of the family after 21 years with Ricoh.
Daddy has daddy/daughter dates with us, he dances with us,  he goofs around and makes us laugh, he has a major crush on mommy and somehow always makes us feel pretty,  but most of all he shows us what the love of God looks like. He teaches us how much God loves us, mommy, and others by being an example of that first to us on a daily basis. He is always there for us when we need him. Most of all though, no matter what, he comes home to us everyday. We only want that to continue...
We have plans for the future that still involve our daddy. We want him there to finish raising us, to pick us up when we fall, to hug us close when we feel afraid, we want him there at all our birthdays, events, and holidays. We want him to walk us down the aisle when we get married and to kiss us on the cheek. What about the daddy/daughter dance? We want him there to tell us everything will be ok when it feels like it's not. Like right now. We know mommy wants him here because we see her cry when she doen't know we are looking. What would she do without him? But most of all we want him there just because he's our daddy. Without daddy, our happy home doesnt seem possible. We are trying to trust God now more than ever like daddy tells us to do, but the Dr's say he cannot do anymore radiation. He has done as much as he can handle in a life-time. No more chemo, his body cannot handle it. Avastin was the last drug recommended to him by the Cancer board and it might help but only to buy him some more time, not cure him. Also, insurance will not approve the drug Avastin and so it would cost daddy $100,000 a year to use it. So we felt like daddy was sadly out of medical options and so we prayed for answers.
Answers came as mommy found CHIPSA after recommended to her by several. They are a clinic about 45 minutes outside of San Diego. They only accept 13% of special cases out there. Mommy wrote them and shared Daddy's story with them. We prayed, clinching our fists tight together tightly and waited. They accepted him!! So needless to say we are stepping out on a limb of faith here. It isn't easy for us to ask for money. But they do not take insurance yet for this kind of treatment. We have renewed hope that this 3 week intense treatement plan will help save daddy and reduce or eliminate his cancer tumor's. There are many accounts where it has saved lives. Check out Baily O' Brien's story when you can. It's very encouraging.
The cost for the 3 week treatment is 29K. Specialist's want us to rush daddy up there to begin treatment on Monday as there is no time to waste. So our bags are packed, and we are trusting God on this one more time. If you have the financial means to help contribute towards this sudden medical cost it would mean the world to us. If you cannot then please keep him in your prayers! We are so blessed already from the love and support of so many through this journey already.
We are not ready to for Daddy to leave us yet! Is that ok? His girls love him so much and just want their daddy to keep coming home to them as long as God allows him to. We know daddy won't ask so we ask for daddy. May God bless you.
For I know the plans I have for you, " declares the Lord, " plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jer 29:11
