Climbing back from Hurricane Flo
Donation protected
Friends and family,
We are individuals that live and work with children in the area that was hardest hit by Hurricane Florence. We care deeply for our students and their families. The families in our school are so supportive of their child's education and of us, as teachers. Hurricane Florence has devastated our county. Our school buildings, our students' families, and our colleagues are all struggling to come back to a normal routine after this disaster. The aftermath that this storm left in our county is unbelievable. Families living in homes without a roof. People cooking for their family on an open fire. Families with nothing left but the clothes on their back. It seems unreal to describe what is no longer seen on national news. Our community is pulling together, strangers reaching out and helping one another. However, we need more help. We are reaching out to our friends and family asking for you to please donate to help our students' families that we personally know struggling to climb back to a normal happy home. The money donated will go directly to these families. Our goal is to give each struggling family gift cards to grocery stores, home improvement stores and department stores so they can get the supplies for their individual needs. We ask you take a moment, and think about coming back to a flooded home, no roof and nothing left for you or your children. That is the reality lots of our families are facing as we clean up from this natural disaster. It is heartbreaking. We made this page to get the resources to the great families that support us each school year . Help us give back and support them at their time of need. Please feel free to pass this on to others that you feel would like to make a donation. This is one donation that is guaranteed to get to the people that deserve it.
Thanks so much,
