Climate Activist Kevin Clarke Needs Your Help

Thank you so much for your care and concern for Kevin and our family.
As you may already be aware, Kevin fell while attempting to scale the side of the Chase building on Friday afternoon. This was part of a #DefundLine3 action, meant to draw attention to the role big banks have in funding the climate crisis. As a passionate and courageous activist in the Extinction Rebellion NYC group, Kevin’s actions were intended to call them out for their role in our planet’s climate and ecological destruction.
Like many others, Kevin has suffered greatly from the pandemic. His small business was wiped out. He’s an incredibly caring and concerned citizen, who has found great meaning in joining the struggle against the climate crisis. For Kevin, it is important being part of this non-violent movement to create a future where all people and ecosystems can thrive.
He will be unable to work and will need considerable care for at least the next six months. He’s already financially vulnerable from the pandemic, and has been unable to pay rent much of this year. Anything you can give will be received with gratitude and heartfelt appreciation. Donations will be used by his family to sustain Kevin while he is out of work and recovering.
