Cliff Villages Solar Action Group Fund Raiser

WHO ARE WE ?

We are Cliff Villages Solar Action Group, based in Navenby, Lincolnshire and surrounding areas. We are a group of Volunteers who have come together to save our beautiful Lincolnshire Countryside from being turned into an industrial site covered in Solar Panels and Battery storage. We strongly believe that the proposals are the wrong locations. We have volunteers working hard behind the scenes to stop fields being covered and to promote solar on roof tops of the UK. With the governments rage on covering the arable land we are concerned about future food security.

We need more public support and in particular funding to help. We thank the people who have already donated and are very grateful but we need more donations.

We need funds to provide Banners, flyers and leaflets. Expert help, Legal Assistance. These are not free and we need money to fund them.

Our group opposes multiple solar proposals that will turn many thousands of acres of open countryside and farmland around our villages into an industrial landscape of glass, aluminium, concrete, massive batteries, transformers and associated buildings and infrastructure.

The proposals are:

Navenby Substation and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)

Leoda solar farm

Springwell Solar Farm

Fosse Green Solar Farm

NatPower BESS Coleby

[Yet to be Announced] Solar Farm (south of A17 / Caythorpe)

Our area centers around the ‘cliff’ villages which are spread along the 7 miles of the A607 heading south from Lincoln, between Navenby and Caythorpe, but also takes in many other villages in the surrounding area which will be badly affected.

The solar proposals and Navenby Substation/Battery Storage are interdependent, so it makes sense to take action both jointly and individually on these. We should all fight all of them!
