We are excited to announce that we’ve joined A&M Sports Academy to help raise funds towards Clean Hands for Haiti (CLH) project, under the umbrella of A&M Sports Academy which is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, dedicated to supporting Haitian children of Carrefoure, Bizoton through Health, Education, and Sports.
This is CLH 5th consecutive year in Haiti, providing food, clothing, school supplies, educational needs, basketball clinics and much more to this impoverished community.
MELySMAX has taken the initiative to launch an Arts Program which will offer music, dance, film, and visual arts for the children of CLH. The Arts program is scheduled to begin in July 2018.
In 2015, A&M opened its Community Center in Carrefour, Bizoton, one of the poorest neighborhoods in Port au Prince, which is where A&M Founder, Ray Abellard, grew up. The goal for this project is to provide a safe and nurturing community where they can improve their academic performance. CLH is planning to partner with local schools to provide additional free services to the students of the community.
In addition to A&M’s community service endeavors, last year A&M also rebuilt the home of Fenelson Victor, the co-winner of A&M’s Student of the Year award, who lost his home during the 2010 earthquake. For the past six years, his family had to live with neighbors.
Last year in May 2017, my wife MelimeL and I went to Haiti to work with the children at CLH and had the opportunity to experience first hand the impact of collective small donations by people like you, who want to make a difference in the lives of others. So much work is being done, so much more needs to be done, but I know together with your donations the impact will amplify. Joining us this year is Filmmaker and Producer of First String Comedy, Hawk Williamz, and Stuart Sanon, Operational Manager Of Business Processes.
We need to raise funds to help support the continuing services that CLH provides. If you can join us in this movement by donating anything you can, it would be very helpful and will go a long way for these children.
Below is an estimate breakdown of how your contribution will help
$4 = A hot meal for one student
$20 = Clean water for one month
$72 = A hot meal for 18 students
$100 =Internet access to classrooms for 1month
$200 = Provide a student with books and uniform for a year
$2500 = Provide the students of CLH with internet access for a duration of two years
