Cleveland High School Boys Basketball

Tax deductible
For those who know me, you know that Cleveland High School (CHS) is dear to my heart. I’m a 1975 graduate and attending CHS was a high point in my life. From a multi-cultural close-knit student body, brilliant students who loved and respected one another, to a teaching staff and administration that made Cleveland a great place to learn, there are many memories. I was fortunate to play on our first of two state Championships Basketball teams, known to many as the Team of the Century! Aside from both of my children graduating from CHS, the past 10 years I have made Cleveland a priority in my personal life - an opportunity to give back to the school that brought me so much joy from academics to athletics.

This year, the Cleveland Eagle’s have a new Basketball coach. Coach Sterling Carter comes to Cleveland High School for the 2020-21 season having started his coaching career as an assistant coach with the The University Of Puget Sound in 2017-2018. After the 1 year at UPS he then coached 2 seasons as the Head Boys basketball coach At Yelm HS. Coach Carter is a Franklin High School Alum and as a player, Coach Carter played at Seattle University, Purdue University, and professionally in Germany in the pro A League. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Seattle University, and a Master's Degree from Purdue University in Leadership. Coach Carter lives in Puyallup, Washington, with his wife Branisha and their two daughters, Aria and Royaltie.

Coach Carters vision is to restore the winning and hard working mentality to the Cleveland boys basketball program. He needs our help!

As we all know, the Pandemic has created challenges for so many and our schools are no different. Due to closing school, cancelling fundraising events and social distancing, the Boy’s Basketball team is behind in their fundraising with some basic needs for these student athlete’s not being met. From uniforms, equipment, transportation, water to meals, the needs are plenty!

Please help me support the Cleveland High School Boy’s Basketball team for the 2020-21 season. Whatever you can give is appreciated and will be put to good use. Funds will be managed and dispersed for team needs by the CHS PTSA, so you can also write off your donation. The tax ID number is 91-1234418
