<div>Unser junger <strong>Feuerwehrheld Clemens (16)</strong> kämpft seit einem schweren Unfall mit den Folgen einer Querschnittslähmung. Clemens und seine Eltern sind aktive Mitglieder unserer Feuerwehr. Seit Jahrzehnten hilft die Familie im Feuerwehr - und Rettungsdienst ihren Mitmenschen, nun sind sie auf eure Hilfe angewiesen.

<div>Wir vom Verein der Freiwilligen Feuerwehr Kirchdorf a.d. Amper e.V möchten Clemens gerne ein Leben im Kreis seiner Familie ermöglichen und bitten deshalb um Spenden, um ihm diesen Wunsch erfüllen zu können.

<div>Im September 2025 hatte Clemens einen schrecklichen Unfall. Er ist im Schwimmbad gestürzt und hat sich einen Halswirbel gebrochen – Die Folge: Querschnittslähmung halsabwärts!
</div>

<div>Nach einer Notoperation an der Halswirbelsäule begann ein schwerer Weg für Clemens. Durch das Wasser, welches nach dem Sturz in seine Lungen eindrang, während er regungslos im Wasser trieb, bildete sich eine Lungenentzündung.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Er musste in ein künstliches Koma versetzt und beatmet werden. Kaum war die Lungenentzündung überstanden, musste Clemens das Atmen neu lernen – weitere Lungenentzündungen folgten. Nach einem wochenlangen Kampf konnte Clemens wieder so gut atmen, dass mit den ersten wichtigen Rehabilitationsmaßnahmen begonnen werden konnte.

<div>Dann der nächste Rückschlag – bei Clemens wird ein multiresistenter Krankenhauskeim in den Atemwegen festgestellt. Die Folge: Verlegung auf die Isolierstation, Aussetzen der Rehabilitation und der Physiotherapie in Gruppen; nurmehr eine stark reduzierte Einzeltherapie ist möglich.

<div>Neben der Gefangenheit im eigenen Körper durch die hohe Querschnittslähmung vom Hals abwärts stellt die Isolation im Krankenhaus eine große Belastung für Clemens dar. Er war ein fitter und lebendiger Junge, ist aktives Mitglied unserer Freiwilligen Feuerwehr und bei der Wasserwacht, war gerne mit Freunden unterwegs. Er wünscht sich so sehr, zu seiner Familie, zu seinen Eltern und seinen 5 Geschwister zurückkehren zu können.

<div>Dafür müssen sehr viele Voraussetzungen geschaffen werden. Clemens wird dauerhaft auf Hilfe und Pflege angewiesen sein. Das Haus muss umfangreich behindertengerecht umgebaut werden, um Clemens eine Rückkehr in den Kreis seiner Familie ermöglichen zu können. Alleine diese Kosten belaufen sich auf circa 100.000 Euro.

<div>Die Familie kann die finanziellen Mehrbelastungen, welche durch den Umbau des Hauses, die Physiotherapie, die Reha und die nötige Pflege auf sie zukommen, nicht alleine stemmen.

<div>Our young firefighter hero Clemens (16) has been struggling with the consequences of paraplegia since a serious accident. Clemens and his parents are active members of our fire department. Now they need your help.
</div>

<div>We at the Kirchdorf a.d. Amper Volunteer Fire Department Association would like to enable Clemens to live with his family and are therefore asking for donations to help fulfill this wish.
</div>

<div>In September 2025, Clemens had a terrible accident. He fell in the swimming pool and broke a cervical vertebra – the result: paraplegia from the neck down!
</div>

</div>
<div>After emergency surgery on his cervical spine, Clemens began a difficult journey. The water that entered his lungs after the fall, while he was floating motionless in the water, caused pneumonia.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>He had to be placed in an artificial coma and put on a ventilator. No sooner had he recovered from pneumonia than Clemens had to relearn how to breathe – and further bouts of pneumonia followed. After weeks of struggle, Clemens was able to breathe well enough to begin the first important stages of rehabilitation.
</div>

<div>Then came the next setback – Clemens was diagnosed with a multi-resistant hospital germ in his respiratory tract. The result: transfer to the isolation ward, suspension of rehabilitation and group physiotherapy; only greatly reduced individual therapy was possible.
</div>

<div>In addition to being trapped in his own body due to high paraplegia from the neck down, the isolation in the hospital is a great strain on Clemens. He was a fit and lively boy, an active member of our volunteer fire department and the water rescue service, and enjoyed spending time with friends. He longs to return to his family, his parents, and his five siblings.
</div>

<div>This requires a great deal of preparation. Clemens will be permanently dependent on help and care. The house must be extensively renovated to make it accessible for Clemens to return to his family. These costs alone amount to approximately €100,000.
</div>

<div>The family cannot bear the additional financial burden of renovating the house, physiotherapy, rehabilitation, and the necessary care on their own.
</div>
