FREEDOM UNSHACKLED
IS a grass roots coalition dedicated to reminding politicians who use incarcerated humans as election pawns of the promises they made to get themselves elected.
Specifically, we are WORKING hard to make Andrew Cuomo uncomfortable in his refusal to review the MOUNTAIN of clemency applications currently on his desk, in spite of his PROMISE to do his best to reduce the prison inmate population in New York State. We are requesting meetings with EVERY Senator and Assembly Person in our state to discuss our agenda and how it can benefit everyone who participates. We already have positive feedback from the people surrounding the Governor, and government requests for meetings have been scheduled only days after our first email campaign.

We BELIEVE we are onto a good idea that will be joined by other states until it is a national movement.
Prison reform is a huge topic in the upcoming election, and neither apparent candidate is talking about it sufficiently.
We CAN make a difference from the trenches, but we need help paying for our administrative expenses for the first year of our existence.
