Cleats & Uniforms for Malawi Africa

In May 2017, I traveled to Malawi, Africa, with a non-profit organization, Circle of Hope International (http://cohcommunity.org).  Circle of Hope has partnered with the Grace Alliance Church to build the Grace Center, which consists of an orphanage (with over 60 boys and girls), church, school, feeding program, and soon to be medical clinic and maternal center. The Grace Center holds a special place in both Karly and I’s hearts and we are excited to announce that we will be traveling back to Malawi in May 2018!

During my 3 weeks in Malawi, I completely fell in love with the kids of the Grace Center.  Much of my time was spent with the boys of the school and the orphanage.  In the midst of having so little, these children have so much joy, passion, and gratitude for life to a degree unlike anything I have ever experienced before.

In Africa, soccer is a fundamental part of life. Most days after school, I would join the kids in playing soccer until dinner. While playing soccer, I noticed many of the kids had to play bare footed because they do not have cleats.

I would like to bring some joy and hope to the boys of the Grace Center but I need your help! My goal is to raise $1700 to give new uniforms and cleats to every boy of the Grace Center School soccer team (approx. 18 boys).   We would also like to rent a truck to take the boys to try on their cleats at the store. 

 
Uniform = $800
Cleats = $700
Transportation = $200

Total Goal = $1700

 
In short, I love this amazing group of kids. I want to express that love and invite you to join in by helping provide this gift.  Although a uniform and pair of cleats do not sound like much to you and me, it means a great deal to them.
