Clear the (H)air!

Hello all!

In honour of this year’s Mental Health Week (May 4-10), I’m doing a charity head shave to raise awareness and funds for the Canadian Mental Health Association. My “Clear the (H)air” campaign invites everyone to open up and #GetReal with each other about how we’re honestly feeling.

Fundraisers that would normally bring communities together during this time of year will be significantly impacted by COVID-19. Through this campaign, all of your generous donations will go to our local and national CMHA branch. I truly understand that donating money might not be an option, but spreading the word within your social circles about the valuable resources CMHA offers can be just as impactful.

For those who might be alone, you don’t have to feel alone. As someone who has benefitted greatly from mental health services, I know first hand that accessibility is crucial for those seeking help. Sometimes that accessibility can just be a friend willing to listen, and I’m all ears.

Thank you in advance for all of your support and contributions!

I hope that you will check out these awesome resources offered by CMHA and other local outreach programs:

*UPDATE*

For those who got in touch with me expressing glitches when donating, I’ve linked the Calgary CMHA Donation page below. In addition, I have also linked their “Get Involved” page for anyone who’s interested in peer support or organizing their own community fundraiser!

Thank you all again, and stay safe out there <3
