Hi We are Clean As Casper, We are a 100% no Wages, Non-For Profit, Registered Charity with an ACN, who have been Showering the Homeless for over 12 months in The South Eastern Suburbs of Victoria and the Melbourne CBD and we need your help to improve this service!! Its not just the Showering though that is important. Its giving our Homeless friends somewhere to go each week and friendship with our Volunteers (we have 33 Volunteers) we have over 100 Homeless friends who visit us at all of our sites each week. Many of our Homeless friends tell us how much they appreciate our service and Enjoy Laughs, Games of chess as well as the opportunity to what many of us take for granted. A nice clean Shower.
As you can see by our pictures, we are currently operating with a modest portaloo converted to a portable shower. It serves it purpose, but it is time to improve our service and give both our dedicated volunteers the most easy of setups and to cater for the many fe-males who would like to use our service as using a change tent makes them feel very exposed.
It currently takes 2-3 hours of heating with electricty and many hours of washing and drying of towells, facewashers, ect as well as creating hygeine packs for our homeless friends containing toilietries for them to use in the shower. The average shift has 3-4 hours going into each set up, pack up and preperation, including washing, drying of towles, toiletry packs and unloading and packing up of all items inside this trailer. So this is a lot of time our wonderful team put into every single shift to enable us to reach our homeless friends.
Our homeless friends also have to use a change tent to get unchanged (they ut one of our clean as casper robes on) and walk in the cold, being exposed to the public at some locations, making the experience less dignifying and also stopping some of our current homeless viistors from using the service as they are embarrased.
This is where you come in!! We are looking at converting a truck into a mobile shower to enhance our service!!!
This February we entered a competition held by Sunsuper and won $35,000 enabling us to purchase and begin to fit out a truck to enable us to enhance our service as has always been a dream of ours from day1!!
As you can see in our photos, We have already purchased our truck and are in the process of getting it fitted out, however we need your help to make ends meet! As our current service has still been running, our funds are eating away and we would really love to get this truck on the road!
last week we got the Horrible news that our Generator That had failed can not be repaired and must be replaced :(
It will cost us $1580 and this comes directly out of our precious savings towards our truck being set up :(
it would be amazing to be able to make ths money up and any extra taht can go towards finishing our truck would also be great!

We are a small Charity and we are a 100% un paid non for profit (Its important to understand that some not for profit organisations actually have people on wages) however we are extremely proud to be 100 % non paid for what we do as we do it in our spare time, many of us are family business owners, fulltime parents, students and give ur spare time to help people in need. You would be contibuting to an organisation whos entire teams only reason for operating is to serve any human being in need.

I can not begin to say how greatful Any of our team will be for a $5 donation, as we truly are battling along! We are all using our own money to pay for petrol Currently to provide this service and any help we can get really is so much appreciated!!!
