With the support of the Shahjalal Mosque and Islamic Centre, the Management Committee is launching a fundraising initiative to install a water pump in memory of our beloved founding members in Bangladesh.

Many of those who helped establish the Shahjalal Mosque and Islamic Centre have sadly returned to our Creator. We pray that Allah (SWT) blesses them and grants them a place in Jannah al-Firdaus. Ameen.

Our founding members were the heart of our community—respected and loved by family, friends, and all who knew them. To honour their legacy, the Management Committee is raising funds for a water pump in their home village in Bangladesh. This project, organised by the Shahjalal Mosque and Islamic Centre, will serve as a Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing charity) in their name.

How You Can Help:

We will be collecting donations after Friday Jummah prayers throughout Ramadan (for 4 weeks). With your support, we can provide clean, safe water to rural communities in Sylhet, Bangladesh—helping with drinking, cooking, cleaning, and supporting local crops and livestock. This vital resource will also offer these communities a chance to break free from the cycle of poverty.
